質量 MA=30 g/mol, MB=40 g/mol, MC=70 g/mol。
½Mv²≥Ea の割合は erfc(√x)+2√(x/π)e−x(x=Ea/RT)。
・アレニウス予測 k = A·e−Ea/RT の前指数因子 A には実測の A–B 衝突頻度 Z(回/秒)を用いています。

Model assumptions
• Molecules move in a 2D box. The velocity components vx, vy are drawn from a normal distribution with mean 0 and variance RT/M (the Maxwell distribution), so the average speed is proportional to √T. Molar masses: MA=30 g/mol, MB=40 g/mol, MC=70 g/mol.
• When A and B collide, if the kinetic energy of their relative motion E = ½μvrel² (μ = MAMB/(MA+MB), the reduced mass) is Ea or more, they react: A+B→C (shown as a flash). Below Ea the collision is elastic. After 2.5–4 s, C splits back into A+B (with speeds re-drawn at the heat-bath temperature). Each molecule hits the heat bath (solvent and walls) 2.5 times per second on average, and its velocity is re-drawn from the Maxwell distribution at temperature T. A weak correction also keeps the average kinetic energy at RT. Even so, when reactions are very fast, high-energy molecules get used up, and the measured rate can be 10–20 % lower than collision theory predicts (a non-equilibrium effect that also happens in real chemistry).
• The lower-left graph is the 3D Maxwell speed distribution of molecule A: f(v)=4π(M/2πRT)3/2 v² e−Mv²/2RT. The fraction with ½Mv² ≥ Ea is erfc(√x)+2√(x/π)e−x (x=Ea/RT).
• In 2D, the relative-energy distribution weighted by collision frequency (proportional to relative speed) has the same v² form. So the shaded fraction of the area equals the expected fraction of collisions that lead to a reaction ("Collision theory", lower right).
• In the Arrhenius prediction k = A·e−Ea/RT, the pre-exponential factor A is the measured A–B collision frequency Z (per second). Because the model checks the total relative energy, the measured rate is about (1+2√(x/π)) times larger than A·e−Ea/RT, but it grows exponentially with temperature in the same way.
